Foils and Fittings

High Quality

All foils are built to Toppers unrivalled high standards honed over 30 years of producing the original Topper Dinghy.  All boats come equipped with the following:

• Hightech Rudder and Lifting System - Uno and Uno Plus rudder blades are constructed of solid molded polyethylene. The Race, Race X and Tres rudder blades are constructed of GRP, epoxy, foam sandwich.  The rudder system has been specifically designed to be easy to use, hold the rudder in place while sailing, and will also kick-up automatically to protect the blade.  

• Dagger board - The dagger board is consistent across the entire Topaz Sailing System.  It is constructed of solid molded polyethylene providing amazing strength and stability.  Unique to Topaz is the shock absorbent hull plate that protects the hull and daggerboard in the event of impact.

• Aluminum Tiller - The tiller is constructed of high-quality aluminum tube and attachs to a rudder adjustment system.

The Fittings

No other manufacturer can match the fittings of the Topaz.  The Topaz specifications provide the strongest possible attachment for fittings via brass inserts molded into the hull structure.  All fitting are attached using stainless steel screws and adjustable toe straps, for helm and crew, come as standard on all models.

A simple effective mastgate system allows the boat to be easily rigged and de-rigged by one person.

Carry handles on the bow and stern come as standard on all models as do two inspection hatches, one in front of daggerboad casing and the second near the transom, allowing easy access to the interior of the hull.
